Here comes the crave for some mar-mite baby squids, and this call for another seafood fiesta. A close friend came to my mind when it comes to that baby squids...Nyum~~
Klang popped from my head and here we go, to port klang it is.
Unlucky for us, today there is no baby squid around, so we substitute it for fried squid instead.
Let's see what we ordered.
Fried squids with sweet and spicy sauce, something like thai chili sauce.
The squid was a little on the oily side, and it could not substitute the tasty and crispy baby squid with marmite sauce.
The squid is tastier with the sweet and spicy sauce.
This is the four meal that we have, from the top is the tom yum fish with meehoon on the top, from the bottom right is the fried squid, sambal asparagus and also the only dish which I found nice was the 'ham tan' crab.
The asparagus and the fish was not anything that I could highlight here as the asparagus was on the oily side and I couldn't taste the chili at all except for the oil, and to make matter worst the asparagus texture was hard and old. And as for the tom yum fish was kind of sad as it lack the spicy and ooompphh... taste of tom yum, and was a little bland for tom yum.
I could highlight on this a little which is the 'ham tan'(the salted egg) crab, which is to my liking creamy and tasty, and the eggs on the crab was yummy. The only sad case was the seafood served was not really fresh and I would have guess it was because there were no fresh seafood cater by the fisherman as it was the raya(the Muslim was having their new year celebration) month.
So this teach us a lesson to never have seafood there on the month of Raya.
Anyway happy raya to all my fellow Muslim friends out there and to those not celebrating, have a great holiday ahead.
p/s: Maaf, zahir dan batin to all my Muslim friends and have a great month of raya too.
